Facial Trauma

Facial trauma is any physical injury to the face or jaw. Injuries to the soft tissue, such as burns and lacerations, or fractures of the facial bones or jaws are included in facial trauma. Another common facial trauma is knocked-out (avulsed) teeth.

Many facial traumas are caused by accidental falls, sports-related injuries, car accidents or other incidents causing blunt or penetrating trauma to the facial region. Tri-County Oral-Facial Surgeons, P.C., offers emergency care, acute treatment, and long-term reconstruction and rehabilitation for these injuries.
